I painted this while on holiday in Tuscany.
The experience was overwhelming and I could
not wait to use my brushes to record visually the
gentle browns and yellows of the vegetation.
If you look closely, you can see little boats
in the distance. They really were there...

But why is Nature at such heavy pause,
And the earth slowly ceasing to revolve?
Only the lapping tides abide their laws,
And very softly on the sand dissolve.
